Sauteed Chicken Liver Recipe

 

Chicken liver make a very delicious  chicken dish that I really enjoy eating a lot.The liver can be served with steamed rice ,fries,mashed potatoes or with toasted bread.Its takes at least 20 minutes to prepare and  this dish can make a good meal for lunch  because it is light.This dish is also very good for all age groups of people and it is cheaper compared to buying a whole chicken.Fresh  liver is available in butcher during the morning section.

Ingredients For Cooking Chicken Liver

1 kg of fresh  chicken liver

50g butter

1 large onion

¼ cup of chicken stock

White pepper to taste

¼ tsp. of paprika powder

Salt to taste

1 tsp.mince ginger

3 cloves of crushed garlic

Procedure For Cooking Chicken Liver

  1. Wash the liver clean.
  2. Then cut it into  medium size pieces,pierce them with a fork.
  3. Melt the butter in a cooking pan Saute the liver while stirring till it is golden brown.
  4. Add in the chopped onions,crushed garlic and ginger then stir the food mixture.
  5. Add in the paprika,the seasoning, and allow to cook for 3 minutes  under low heat.
  6. Then add in the chicken stock cover and let the food simmer for 5mins.
  7. Adjust the seasoning.
  8. Serve hot with an accompaniment of your choice.

Remarks On Cooking Chicken Liver

Wash the liver well and cut it into medium size pieces so that it cooks faster.

Also pierce the liver before cooking in order to prevent popping.

If you have a non stick cooking pan that is the best one to use for this recipe.

This dish is really good for a kids menu instead of filling them with burgers always.

 

 

When you feel like having a light lunch I recommend the  chicken liver.
